I'm considering buying a Yamaha Clavinova, either the CVP-69 or
CVP-79A. Am I on the right track, or nuts?

Goals: Lots of instrument sounds/voices, and accompaniment styles,
with realistic keyboard feel and excellent sound.

Background: I've tried the $400-$600 keyboards from Yamaha and Casio,
and while they're fun, they aren't "real". I normally play a Steinway,
so feel and instrument sound accuracy are important.

Should I be considering MIDI components (separate keyboard+amp+rhythm
box+PC) instead?

The Yamaha Clavinova is a very impressive instrument, and priced
accordingly. I'd appreciate any comments on it, and/or suggestions on
alternatives I should explore. Thanks!

I have a CLP155 and I love it to death. When I went in I told the guy I
wanted the least expensive Clavinova with a full length keyboard and
stereo sampling. No frills, just a solid great sounding piano. I have no
regrets about mine. I certainly am not one of those people that can
distinguish it from the real thing.
