The reason you're having trouble finding the score is because the original
score was by Cat Stevens, not Rick Wakeman.

This was "originally" a hymn, or a folk song turned into a hymn. At
any rate it can be found in many hymnals, among them the 1955 (Maroon)
Presbyterian Hymnal.
This might not be the arrangement being looked for, but it has the
tune, the words and a harmonization....
When I was very young (believe it or not, it was once true) I recall vaguely
a piece called "Morgenstein" (Remember, I was very young, I couldn't spell
then.) I don't recall who wrote it, but memory from half a century seems
like it was the same tune.

as to aquiring wakeman's > arrangement < hmm, wouldn't hold my breath.
did some digging - ahh, search engines :) - and found OP's source (?) -
"This was a gentle album of hymns played on the piano and in the same
style as Christmas Variations. I think this as an album worth having if
you have a faith and want something a little different in your
collection." <- Rick Wakeman's liner notes to "Morning Has Broken (2000)
.. variations on favourite hymns".

('abide with me'; 'all people that on earth do dwell' > fourteen tracks)
the tune, well-known, is usually referred to as 'an old gaelic melody'.
the lyrics, familiar to most?, 'eleanor farjeon, 1931 (1881 - 1965)';
who she, you may ask? -> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eleanor_Farjeon
now, further to that hymn, she took inspiration/s from Psalm 118 v 24.
as is always the case w/hymns, other lyrics do exist; in gaelic, here.
< 'morgenstein' .. hmm .. nothing so far, i fear .. anyone else? .. >

The piano score was from Rick Wakeman. Cat Stevens has confirmed in
interviews he did not have anything to do with it. However, Wakeman
never got any credits. He was a 'session player' at the time.
But, I was interested in the Rick Wakeman arrangement of the song. That
would be the Rick Wakeman live performance.
Does the sheet music exist for the Rick Wakeman arrangement?
TIA!

Ah. I didn't know that. I just remembered it from way way back as a Cat Stevens
recording. I stand corrected.

The following is from the FAQ section of Rick Wakeman's website
"There is currently no sheet music in print for any of Rick Wakeman's
works, apart from a book of hymns called "HopeSongs". There are no
plans to publish any in the near future I'm afraid. Titles that have
previously been published do show up from time to time in secondhand
shops, and sometimes on the internet in auction sites like ebay
[www.ebay.com]"

If you stumble across his score some day will you post the info in here?
TIA!
I wish I was better at playing the piano by ear. But, I am not. I basically
a "printed music only" kind of guy.
I would guess it would still be in print.

Don't know whether it's still in print, but I have a copy of the sheet
music from when Cat Stevens first released it - complete with the
Wakeman piano part.
Anybody who wants a copy, just drop me an email.
Thanks!
Thanks!
I will send an e-mail.
