Low Left for both bongo and conga

High drum on YOUR LEFT (STAGE LEFT). Most conga/bongo players play heel/toe
technique on the high drum with their left hands, so you want the high drum on
your left.
It's not clear if another post was speaking from a stage or house view.

Kit drummers have, other than their snare, their drums arranged low to high -> left to right.
A friend of mine who is one hell of a conguero was sitting on a cajone, had his tumba between
his legs, segundo left, and quinto to the right. And he was smokin'.

If you are right handed, the smaller side goes on your LEFT.
