Vaughn,
I really am at a loss as to why ANYONE would buy one of these snares. At
the best, they are a blatant copy of a Dunnett stainless and they are
more $. I also would not do business with a guy whose character is so
suspect and who also is a plagiarist. I think this is just an excuse for
guys like you who have a problem with Dunnett. I guarantee no real
players are using this guy's drums. BTW, what is you real name anyway?

Schuh,
as far as I know a beni stainless is listed for $450,- (thats a
stainless not a Black russian)standard with black powder caoting and
puresounds
Dunnett stainless is listed $515,- colour coating is $115,-
puresounds is $35,- extra,
if you want to get into another beni dunnett things..thats ok but get
the facts straight.

Being a handcrafted drum would justify the higher cost. Any bozo can
assemble a drum with out sourced parts. Also, Vaughn, rob is an ex
con\felon so I wouldn't take his words serious. Nobody cares about
what he has to say about gear anyway.

Imported from Russia? What a load of crap.

There is your little dig there. You really are a fucking clown. That fat bastard
is no more of a hand craftsman than Dunnett. Why not just admit that you have a
problem with Ronn?? I have not seen any pros playing his drums.

I am not sure what your problem is, but you are supporting a plagiarist, so that
is on you. You and your little chronies have a problem with Dunnett so you buy
the crap this guy makes. Why not ask him about inventing no air vents in snares?
Learn English asshole.
BTW,
You should keep your Beni dick sucking over in your little forum.

You think that is a positive? Have you EVER made your living as a player?????
There is not a single product that Trick makes that is worth a dump on the
floor.

that's what I was waiting for.
Boring. So boring. But if RJ wants facts then let's have facts.
- Colour coating is for ANY colour, including sparkles/textures, duco
and transluscent finishes, not just black. Most of the colours are
custom blended. When I use black, I use a proprietary formula /
application that virtually eliminates "orange peel". A finish with
orange peel is as attractive as cellulite and essentially has the same
appearance. Yummy.
- I provide 42 strand wires on 14" models as standard equipment -
because they sound better than Puresound, although that is subjective.
Puresound wires were standard on 13"/12"/10" Dunnett Classics and were
made by Puresound to my specs - again, because I choose the wires that
I think sound the best. I now use a different supplier for the snare
sets that come with those diameters - again, choosing the highest
quality components that sound BEST for the model they are being fitted
to. In any event I always encourage my clients to try the OEM wires I
supply, and most do - and the majority agree that the stock wires I
supply sound exceptional.
-With the exception of an occasional lot of Titanium, all Dunnett
Classic raw metal materials are made in the U.S.A. I have no idea what
would make Russian mild steel so desirable and when I consider the
vast array of exotic materials available in North America, I realize
that I don't really care anyway.
-There are also some design features - including the new R Class throw
off (visit http://www.dwdrums.com/snares/snareopt.htm for some
javascript fun) which is exclusive to Dunnett Classic (and DW).
The end product will always bear a price consideration, however
certain intangibles - reputation, standards, quality, design,
innovation, experience, character, re-sale value - come into play and
of course those have value.
Even at $665.00, a price that represents full MSRP and does not truly
reflect the street price that a dealer may offer, it's still an
exceptional value.
Anyway, give unto Caesar what is Caesar's. Buy what you want, play
what you like as long as you play.
My name is Ronn Dunnett and I approve of this message.
You weird me out sometimes. Must be all that rain.

you were. I have as much history with you as my last bowel movement and
you garner much less interest.

Nowhere do I say the price of your snares are too high for the product
you are offering.
I ve seen the snares and its cool..
I m simply just correcting the statement from Mr. Schuh(beni charges

Imported from Russia? What a fucking pant load.
> how is it a blatant ripoff?
Did you see his fucking web site? He also claimed he came up with the idea of no
vents in snare drums and along with stealing text from Dunnett, he stole it from
Spaun and Brady too. Do you REALLY want to go by facts????

You have that right Skippy.

They are not now. READ asshole. I realize that is tough coming from your public

I am calling you to the fucking mat because your site is for cunts. I want to
know where the fuck you get off calling Porky a craftsman and Dunnett an
assembler? Do you REALLY believe Beni Boy makes his wood shells? He does not. He
buys his staves from the same guy I do and he does not make his steam bents
either. Ronn makes his metal shells and has done that and his lugs for FAR
longer than your Quarter Pounder with Cheese buddy. Just admit you have an
agenda with dunnett and don't make shit up about him. Do me a favor and let me
know how to un the fuck subscribe to your site. I have never seen a bigger bunch
of Beni ass kissing non playing anonymous cunts in my life. Web based forums are
for cunts. You REALLY ought to get with Harry Cangany and have some phone sex.
let me know it shall be. ..

I never disagreed about his metal snares, but YOU called him a fabricator and
Dunnett an assembler. Qualify that statement.

I know that too, but Ronn never claimed to make his.

That REALLY breaks my heart. That is EXACTLY why clowns like you have NO clue.
What this is supposed to be about is MUSIC, but you and so many other people
want to make it about who knows who in the building "industry." Who the fuck
cares? I do what I do because I enjoy it and I think 90% of the manufacturers
either put out shit or charge too much, but I am a player before anything. That
is where it really is at. Music comes first. I want to know why you keep dancing
around your comment that Beni Man is any more of a fabricator than Dunnett or
why you call Dunnett an assembler? That is my main problem here. Dunnett has
been doing it longer. Beni man copied the look of Ronn's site, his text, Spaun's
text, Brady's text etc. The thing that is so funny about so many non musicians
like the guys are your site who don't like Ronn because he is not a brown noser,
but it matters not. Who cares if guys like you play his drums? Ronn does not
care nor anyone else. Yet another ludicrous thing about all this was that Beni
Man was charging more than Ronn in the past. The guy copies Ronn's building
ideas, his web site design etc., etc. and then charges more!!! :-) THE most
hilarious thing about all of this was I was one of the first guys to talk Beni
Man into apologizing for his plagiarism etc. His response to me was that he
would GRACIOUSLY sell me a Black Russian snare for less than I pay for a Ti from
Ronn. Now that is rich. Your last comment really is quite funny. It is NEVER
important to me what drummers think about me. I care about the calls I get from
sax players, bass players, piano players etc. Seeing that I will suffer deep
emotional scars from being forgotten by your non player clientele, do you have
any suggestions on how to end it all? ;-) BTW, I am posting this to RMMP and I
think you should post your response there too. What goes on between us via e
mail is insignificant.
Take care
Rob
who is dancing around comments here...do you even read what I have
written about the pricing?
For the record,I ve graduated from the Jazz department of the
Conservatorium of Amsterdam, played and toured basicly true every
country in Europe as well in Asia, Rusia middle East and the US...Been
working as a full time musician and tacher for a couple of years
now..No I dont know it all but I know some shit about music and drums.
Dont give me this music comes first bullshit cause you were the first
to reply here ...
THE most

eeehm he did that didnt he? why did you bring up this dead horse then?
His response to me was that he

Thats correct cause a BR is less $ then a TI..it would have been
hilarious if he charched you more.
