I am thinking of getting a new drum kit ?

Which one?

Yamaha: The one which Dave Weckl uses. I would be grateful if someone
could let me know what series Kit he uses

Pearl Masters custom:

or Premier Signia:

It would be good if someone could give me their opinion on each of these
kits ! (Only if you have Played them. (especially the Yamaha one)

please reply A.S.A.P.

Fantastic!

my opinion:
Signias: best tom sound.
Pearl Masters: best Kick sound.
Yamaha: best hardware, best snare sound.

i have played the masters, and i think it sounds really nice, but if you go for
the masters, but money is an issue, try the prestige, they sound close to the
same, but the prestige are a little less expensive

All three are fine kits. You will really nead to play them yourself to
decide.

As far as weckl goes it depends on the recording you are referring to.
For years he played the birch recording customs. According to his web
site (last time I looked) he now has the Maple Custom series kit.
Although he indicated that he does switch back and forth between the
two.

P.S. I ended up with the signias. Beautiful, rich and crisp sounding.

Agreed,

I bought the Prestige Session Select for that very reason. The shell is a
maple/mahogany sandwich (4plys maple - 3plys mahogany). The quality of sound
between them and the masters is undiscernable. Indeed, since I bought them a
couple of local pros have placed orders with Pearl for the same.

Cost for a 6pc w/hardware around $1500.

Yes...However, many people (Including me) like a matching wood snare with a
kit. Doesn't Pearl incorporate the SensiTone snare in all lines of kits?

Just my two cents...

With Prestige Session kits, you do get the Sensitone (custom alloy snare)
however you can order the kit with a replacement snare and the difference will
either be added to- or taken from- the cost of the kit.

I accepted the Sensitone snare as I only have one snare drum and figured a
second would be useful.
