OK, here's a little idea for something on the lighter side...have you ever
known/met/played with/learned from a drummer whose name was "perfect" for a
percussion player?

I'll start things off: I had a drum teacher here at IU (lost touch with him
now, unfortunately, great guy) whose name was JOHN WACKER.

No kiddin!

Add your names here!

I always thought Chad Wackerman had a good drummer name. :)

Maybe I'll say, "Oh ducks, oh ducks, oh ducks," or just "ducks wonderful

I'll try to be the first to stick in:

Chad Wackerman.

The first time I heard his name, I thought my friend was pulling my
leg. Then I went home and looked at a Zappa album...

At one time an English Rock band (Jethro Tull?) had a drummer by the
name of Clive Bunker. Well. . . sounds like an appropriate drummer
name to me.

Just out of curiosity, why is this funny? Lars is a perfectly
good name, especially if you're from Denmark.
I'm trying to figure out if you're just giving his real name,
which everyone knows, or if you're making fun of it. Coming from
Denmark, he could say that Benjamin or Adam are funny names.
If I'm taking this the wrong way, I appologize in advance.

I've got an old Pat Travers album, Puttin' it Straight, with Niko
McBrain on traps. As a side note, I used to play with a bass player
named Kerry Boomsliter (pronounced Boom-slider).

Nicko (nice bloke, BTW) is now the drummer for Iron Maiden if yer
interested (which you're probably not... <G>)

While Nicko McBrain is a good name for a member of Iron Maiden (who he
has played with for the last umpteen years), I fail to see why Barrymore
Barlow is a funny drummer name. What's it have to do with drummers?
Barrymore is a sort of common last name, and a not-so-common English first
name.
The only good drummer names I've seen are ones with "wack" in them. Oh,
perhaps the consummate drummer name is Philthy Animal Taylor, who's been
with Motorhead off and on for years.
