Has anyone heard on of these yet? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated
if so.

Thanks,

George

Well, The good news is that Zildjian is pricing is fairly. I believe
$600 list. The new 24" Light is the same price as the 22" at $650.

Fair pricing?!?! You call $600 list ($300 street) fair? Tell me,
what color is the sky on your planet?

If it makes you feel any better (NOT!), it's very hard to find 50% off on
the Constantinoples. I believe 40% off is the best I have seen. I must
really have liked that 22" Light to go for $400 for a freakin ride cymbal!!
:-)

George,
Ready to be sick? I got my 22 light Con K for $260.00!! It was in a sales bin
at the GC here in Phoenix. If I end up buying a set of Bosphorus, I'll give you
a SCREAMING deal!!

Rob -- how do they sound ? What's with the big band label -- very "Mel
Lewis", "Buddy", "Elviny" or what ? Start throwing the adjectives our
way...they look cool as hell, worse case, you can frame that thing.

You know Rob, I tried to ignore that story the first time you posted it, but
you just won't let me. That AND a set of free DW's, AND an endorsement deal
with Spaun? You are not nice, my friend, getting all these nice little toys
for such a nice deal (or downright free!). $260 is an absurdly good price
for a 22" Constantinople (isn't it scary that $260 is a good price for ANY
cymbal?). Congrats (please don't remind me again - it's just too painful).
The next time I remember that I got raped by $140, I might just snap and
shove my head through my Constantinople's hole in disgust. ;-p

Take it Easy,

George

That would be some serious neckwear!

I simply refuse to pay for cymbals if they cost this much. I would rather bide
my time, look through pawn shops when I see them, that to give in to these
overpriced dogfood plates.

I just put a deposit down on one. The second I played it, I was like, "Uh oh,
this is it. I have to buy this." It's got that 'tah' sound, but with plenty
of definition, and with great wash as well. The whole cymbal moves when you
play it, but the wash never overwhelms the cut. Plus it has a real bell.

Thanks, that's exactly what I wanted to know. Although, I'm not sure it's
good news as that sounds like exactly what I've been looking for (crap!
well, who needs money when there's pies to be had?).

Thanks Again,

George
