Joe Forgione, drummer of The Soul Survivors died on October 20, 2003.
Death came to him after the last song of the night, a song he ended with
a huge fill.
Joe loved and lived for three thing, his God, his Family and Friend, and
his music.
Joey never again had the commercial success of Expressway To Your
Heart., but he kept his hand in the music as a player, teacher and
producer. Expressway was originally presented to the band, but
Forgione, who studied with Gene Krupa, persuaded the band to funk it up
The rest is history.
Joey had a special gift and light. That light went out too soon.
His life is celebrated by we who knew him, and take solace that he is
now with his God.

I don't know this guy... but anyhow, no offense... he died right on stage,
literally after finishing a song?

Rob, you're a complete prick. With that brilliant follow-up I'll add
the obligatory...when you croak you'll spend eternity getting
ass-fucked by your cellmate.
