See ya ladies. I'm leaving tomorrow morning for a week long bike ride down
the Cal. coast from SF to LA for my annual AIDS Ride. This'll be my ninth
year. A really incredible experience and we raise a lot of money. 585 miles
in seven days. Then on Saturday after closing ceremonies I hop on a plane to
home because I'm gigging the next day. I'll be ready to play but I'm sure my
ass'll be tired (Careful. Careful!). From the bicycle seat you apes!

Tata.

Mark's advice is dead on. Only , I call it butt butter (stop with the butt
jokes!). There will 2000 of us on the ride. And we're not allowed to draft!

That's awesome, Dan. I'm sure you'll have no trouble sleeping on the
flight how, but still -- lugging your gear around the day you get back
will no be fun! Good luck to you.

I met my wife on the Boston to NYC AIDS Ride trip in '96 (250 miles in
3 days). When we got engaged, I proposed with a Cannondale tandem (the
guys in the bike shop commonly refer to tandem's as "divorcycles,"
which was an odd thing to keep hearing for my purposes!). We did the
ride on the tandem the following year.
