Can anyone tell me what Cymbals Charlie Watts uses? I'm especially interseted
in the China he used in "She's so cold".

According to a book I have his setup is as follows:2 - 18" UFIP "Experience"
Chinas (one with 12 rivets)Arbiter Custom (Paiste) 602 18" Crash
18" Flat ride of unknown origin
14" A Zildjian Hi-hats
If anyone was wondering, he uses a '57 Gretsch kit (14x22, 8x12, 16x16) with a new
Pearl MLX snare. Loved his sound on the new album!

I think that the china cymbals that Charlie uses are UFIP. He has for
quite a while. Very distinctive. As to the others, I would take a guess
and say old (very) A . Zildjians. He has a very small cymbal set-up. A
ride, one crash, one china for a crash, some 14 inch hats, and maybe
another cymbal for effect ( a flat ride?).
I hope I dont start a range war behind all of the above. It is only my
recollection submitted for your approval

I think you're right on about the UFIP Chinese; he used an old 18" above
the mounted tom for a good while. I think he used an older make unknown
Italian-made 18" for a ride for a long time, but I'm unsure what he uses
now. His hats were 14" inch, but I forget the make. Until recently
hehasn't played any other cymbals, but he changed is Gretsch snare to a
Pearl 8x14 maple some years ago, and may have changed other equipment
since.

Charlie uses two UFIP Chinas, the flat ride, two crashes 1 Zildjian and one Paiste plus mucky old hats and the snare he uses now is a DW because DW now make and distribute Gretsch
