What standard is Lee Konitz' Progression based on. I know I probably
shouldn't assume that it is based on anything, but since many of his
compositions were based on a standard (i.e. Subconcious-Lee is based on
What Is This Thing Called Love, Hi Beck on Pennies From Heaven), I
figured this one is too. Anybody know which one?

Actually it's Tristano's "tune", not Konitz's. It's based on Lullaby
in Rhythm, the Benny Goodman tune. Though popular, and certainly
recognizable, it's really tough to think of it as a real standard any
more.
