He is! Unfortunately, some people try to put him down just because he
gets around. That is, they don't like that he's a session guy, and they
think he should play more like John Entwistle. I think that it's good
that he doesn't - better to do his own thing that try to imitate
someone inimitable like that. And the band seems to like it that way,
too.

Ja. Good drummer, too! No he doesn't look like Barbara Bach, but he's
prettier than Ringo.

Indeed.

Get John Mayer's Try! album and he really does a nice job there too.

If you're like me STeve Jordan's little pain in the ass cocktail snare
drum may drive you nuts by track 3 though.

Try is a lot different than his pop stuff, fwiw.

Kinda interesting story--supposedly guy loves blues/rock, and used the
panty moistening pop stuff as a platform to be able to do what he
actually wanted to, which was Try, the trio with Pino and Steve
jordan.

His cover of Ray Charles I've Got a Woman is really great.

Sort of like Hendrix.

First time I ever heard Pino was on that fretless and octaver on "I'm gonna
tear your playhouse down" by, uhhhhh, that dude that died several years ago.
It's on the tip of.... Shit, I can never remember him. Something "Young" ...
Paul Young?

Anyway, I bought that album and that was the only song I liked.

No, I have that CD and I HATE the drum sounds on that thing. Can't even
listen to it ever again!

I saw Pino touring with Jeff Beck and the had him buried in the mix. What a
waste.

I think Pino played on Gilmour's first solo album too. I think.

To me, that is THE best band name I've heard suggested in a NG thread. Nice
catch Robb.

Barbara Bach is not his mom. That would be the late Maureen, R's first wife.

Ah, so. I just looked up some pictures of (the late) Maureen Starkey,
and she's wasn't the stunner that Bach was - not unattractive, but not
supermodel material. And I think Zak does look a little like her.

Thanks, Mo!
