Please help me!
Recently I took a second hand Ibanez guitar. It is a JSXXXX Satriani model.
The color is dark blue and it has two coil taps (on volume and on tone pot).
On the 21th fret there is the label "JS Custom".

Can someone give me some information about this guitar (specs and the
differences between it and the standard JS1000)?

Thanks in advance.

P.S.
I e-mailed to Ibanez but they did not answer.

When I E-mail a business about something I am very interested in, or already
own, and it's a product of theirs, and they don't respond. I say fuck 'em,
and buy from a company more dedicated to the customer. E-mail them again,
asking why they are not trying to help you out, and then, if you get no
answer, buy a ESP or a Jackson, or some other high quality guitar, that you
feel is a great guitar, providing you get some answers from them as well, if
you write to them. Not that it matters, but customer relations are
important, it's like remembering who your friends are, when you don't need
them. I know of three JS guitars. The JS-1, a high end model, The JS-100, a
budget model, and the JS-1000 which I don't know about, but it's more than
the JS-100.

Duh, missed the point where he said he took a guitar, does this imply
ownership?

OK, why don't you translate, afterall, for most folks who read English,
taking something means to steal. Did you say something? No, I didn't think
so.

1. The "tap" on the volume knob is actually a high pass filter thingy, it
should help you keep your brightness at any volume.

2. The JS guitars are pretty cool guitars with a very '70's strat style neck,
they are also a bitch to setup especially with a Floyd. They have a very
vintage radius.

3. Some more info would be helpful. What is the pickup config? What
are the actual pickups?

Hope this helps,

Paul Frischmann

To answer why Ibanez hasn't answered your email, they have currently
abandoned the email portion of their website. Has not been anounced if
it's permanent or temporary. They will be more than happy to answer any
questions if you call customer service but that's probably an
international call for you.
