Anybody have any comments (good or bad) about this guitar? This will be
my first guitar. Should I consider a cutaway? Also, is a one or 2
piece back preferred? Has anybody done business with palm beach music or
guitar outpost?

thanks, - Randy

This has a cherry body and a cedar top.

Fantastic guitar, IMO, for the dollars....surprisingly complex-sounding and
really a good playing guitar...at its price point, it may be the best I've
tried.

If you don;t care about the extra bucks, sure; I don;t hear any difference in
the sound of the cutaway and the non-cutaway models. Although you won't need
the upper fingerboard access early on, you may like it later.

BTW, cedar is soft; it dings more easily than spruce. It's a great-sounding
top in combination with the cherry body, but be a little careful of the top.

I don;t think you will care. The Martin D-35 has a THREE piece back and sells
for more than the D-28 with its two-piece back!

No, sorry....

Great sounding and playing instrument, an incredible value, too. I
shopped all over town for a good acoustic, and once I played the
seagulls and looked at the price, it was over.
