Yep.. got another new catalog..

Vai sez':
"It had to sound superior to any other amp I'd ever come across..."
So even though the spandex is gone and you can't see them, the man
still has huge balls.

This comes in a head model with 4X12 cabs, or a 2X12 combo.
two channels clean and overdrive.
Separate volume, mid bass treble and presence for each ch.
master reverb. 4 8 or 16 ohm speaker selection switch.
4 EL34s in the power amp, but you can switch it for 6l6s or 5881s.
The combo can be ordered open or closed back.
effects loop.
chicken head knobs.
metal mesh grill.
G12M celestion greenback speakers.
969.00 for the combo (Vai: "It had to be affordable for most
musicians..")......62lbs.
799.00 for the head....no weight given.
549.00 for a 4X12 cab.....90 lbs.
1199.00 for the head and one 4X12, 1699.00 for the head and two 4X12
cabs. 2X12 extension cab is 329.00....40 lbs.
plus footswitch is now 'free for a limited time, but you have shipping
and covers to pay extra for.
100/50 watt switching, too.

It will probably be a bit before we hear from an owner, so there's not
a hell of a lot to talk about.
I find Vais comment about it being superior to any other amp and the
catalog blurb "professional users and amp historians... couldn't help
but smile.." not very supportive of each other.
I think if I were doing this, I would have printed some comments by
reviewers so people had at least some idea of what this thing sounds
like.
'superior' is a pretty paltry comment to judge by, eh?

Twang!

Let us know what you think. Prejudice or not.
