our little local guitar shop is now carrying tube works amps. i tried
a 742 amp. it is a 40 watt 1x10" amp. it is surprisingly loud for such
a little amp.
i was wondering if anybody has any experience with these tube works
amps. i have a tube works real tube pedal and i think it is fantastic.
i was wondering if anybody could sharetheir opinions w respect to
their amps.
first of all, i can't tell if this is a tube amp or what, but i
suspect it is a solid state amp with a tube pre-amp, like a marshall
valvestate.
it seems to have good tone, but to be honest, it is hard for me to
judge. i live in a small town and there just aren't that many
different amps to listen to around here. basically there are crate,
peavy, and tube works. that's about it. so your insight is
appreciated.
thanks

If the tone sounds good to you, then it has good tone!

Hi,
I bought a TW td-752 one year and a half ago, it's an amp with one
12ax7 (in preamp) for dirty sounds and solid state (mosfet) for clean
ones.
I like it, but it's not warm like an all tube amp.
It's ok for rock (dirty) and good for funky.
Anyway if you want to read other opinions try at:
