Long time lurker, first time poster. Great group with lot's of
wonderful info!

I did some searching and found something related to an amp suitable
for both voice & guitar. The info was very dated though. Does anyone
have any recent ideas regarding an amp that would be suitable for this
purpose?

Thanks in advance.

Not sure how big an amp you need, but the Roland Cube Street
has two channels -- one for a mic, the other for an instrument.

Most acoustic guitar amplifiers (those that are voiced for Piezo) will
have a mic channel. Most will also have a notch filter to counter
feedback, a line out (to feed a PA or recording rig), reverb and
sometimes chorus that can be dialed to either channel. I use a
Marshall ASR50, I've got a friend with a Fender...both do just about
the same thing (though the Fender has legs that help it tilt up like a
monitor wedge). Roland, Crate, AER, Fishman, Alesis, Ibanez, Hughes &
Kettner, Trace, SWR all make models that range from 30 to 125W...Try
before you buy...the vocal channels are not all equal.

Cheers, JWP

Thanks to all for your responses. The Fender Acoustica looks like it's
just the thing. Although the Roland Street Cube looks interesting too.
If it makes any difference, I'll be playing a Martin DC15E through it.
Venues, if any, will be very small.

Roland AC-90 is nice too.

Why not just buy a small PA?
