re: spelling of Berklee

Many mix up Berkeley and Berklee.

Berkeley, outside of San Francisco, part of Univeristy of California,
named, I assume, after the famed empiricist philopopher Bishop Berkeley
(sometimes promounced 'barkly') though maybe not. Known to the outside
world (at least to those of my age) as site of much student political
action in the 60's - as in the Berkeley Free Speech Movement.

Berklee, in Boston, named by its founder Lee Berk!! A jazz school, now a
jazz college.

When I went to Berklee (summer '68) they took anyone. Are there
auditions now?

Also, I would like to hear (in e-mail) from a current Berklee student -
a have a small favor of research at the College to ask.
