I noticed Mesa Boogie now has a mini amp on the market. You might try
one of those out.

If money's a question, and you don't need loud, and portable would be cool...

Check out Oaklamd QUality Amps. Little amp, with a 6 x 9 (For Guitar!
Blashpemy!), battery powered, 5Wclean/10Wmax (or less, with fewer/dead
batteries). No volume control (use the guitar's), tone, etc. Just plug in
and play. ANd pink Formica! Yeas!

The sound - amazing, all things considered. Lots of lows, not muddy,
great range. When it starts to distor, it's that typical solid-state
distortion, but it's got a great clean sound. ANd, if the mood is right,
the distortion ain't so bad! Sometimes, it's kinda cool! All for around
$150 (US).
