Has anyone had any dealings with Music 123 in the past few days? I've
ordered some gear, and only got half-assed computerised replies, and no-one
answer to phone calls. I'm getting worried.

Check the music123.com front page..they have an announcement about
moving thier warehouse and that it might cause some shipping delays.
I have bought from them 2 times in the past months without any
problems.

I know it's of little consolation to you now, but they're usually pretty on
top of it. They're combining something like 3 warehouses and for some reason
everything on their side is falling apart.
Not making excuses for them, but this is out of the norm. Whoever organized
the move should be fired. No questions. It would have been better for them
to simply not take any orders during the move than to have so many upset
customers and lose future business becuase of it.
Yeah, I've bought two or three things in the past 12 months from their
website and they've always been pretty good. Growing pains.

The pick order I showed in the "Purchasing..." thread was delayed a couple
weeks; a call to them mentioned the same "moving warehouse" thing. But as
you can see, they seemed to spare no expense in getting my order out...

This is the second time I've ordered something from them. The first time
wasn't real quick, either, but turned out fine.
Then again, I suppose it's possible that Music 123 doesn't even HAVE a
warehouse; rather, they are just a website business that drop-ships
everything they sell, and aren't really sure what the companies they front
for actually have in stock at any given time. But they do seem to have some
things there that you can't find anywhere else.

What I think it is that they have grown faster than they expected. I
pretty much blew them off a over a year ago because they didn't have as
much and were higher than MF or Sam Ash.
About two weeks ago I ordered a set of rosewood brige pins and as long
as I was there added a set of strings on impulse. Four days or so later
I got the bridge pins (in a huge box) but no strings. The order on-line
shows completed - no backorder - I've sent email every couple of days
to see if I could get any status - no response. It isn't a huge deal -
I can live without the strings but the complete lack of response is
really annoying. I've heard the "merging warehouses" excuse but they
sure seem to be able to bill a credit card very quickly. I'm planning
on sending email every day or so to see how many I stack up before I
actually get a reply of some kind.
