Title: MY BACK PAGES (B.
Dylan)
30th anniversary concert version

Hi everyone. After downloading and learning so much from these
newsgroups, it's time to pay back :)

This beautiful version can be found on the "30th Anniversary Concert
Celebration" double disk and on video.
It is sung by Roger McGuinn, Tom Petty, Neil Young, Eric Clapton, Bob
Dylan himself and George Harrison (in that order).

I compiled this version using the words from OLGA (by
ta...@warp.atcon.com (Tony Ash) and ma...@gallifry.Berkeley.EDU (Glen
Macon) ), and I tabbed Clapton's solo myself.

Since this is really my first "published" tab, I'll be more than happy
to hear some feedbacks from you out there: corrections, suggestions or
just saying that you've tried playing this tab and it sounds good (or
bad).

MY BACK PAGES (B.
Dylan)
30th anniversary concert version

Tabbing: Gil Steinbrecher <gi...@techunix.technion.ac.il>

E E4 E E4

(Roger McGuinn sings):

E C#m G#m A B
E E4
Crimson flames run through my years, flowing high & mighty
trapped
E C#m G#m A
B Countless fire and flaming rope, using
ideas as my map
C#m G#m A B
We'll meet our own edges soon said I, proud me beaded brow

E A E
CHORUS: Ah but I was so much older then
A B E E4 E E4
I'm younger than that now.

(Tom Petty sings):

E C#m G#m A B E
E4
Half ripe prejudice leapt forth, rip down all hate I scream
E C#m G#m A B
Lies that life is black and white, spoke from my skull I
dreamed
C#m G#m A B
Romantic flanks of musketeers, foundation deep somehow

CHORUS

(Neil Young sings, same chords as before):

Girl's faces formed the forward path from phony jealousy,
To memorizing politics Of ancient history.
Flung down by corpse evangelist Unthought of, though,
somehow,

CHORUS

(Eric Clapton's guitar solo):

(Eric steps forward and sings his verse):

A self-ordained professor's tongue too serious to fool
Spouted out that liberty is just equality in school.
"Equality," I spoke the word as if a wedding vow

CHORUS

(Dylan croacks his verse on stage but on the disk he misteriously sounds
fine):

In a soldiers stance I aim my hand at the mongrel dogs who
teac
During night I become my enemy in the instant that I
preach
My existance fled by confusion boats, mutiny from stern to
bow

CHORUS

(George Harrison):

The guard stood hard when abstract prints too nobel to
neglect
Deceived me into thinking, I had something to protect
Good and bad I define these terms, why clear, no doubt,
somehow.

(Neil Young's guitar solo)

If there's a demand I'll tab the second solo too, although it is quite
simple.

Suggestions, corrections etc. are welcomed

Gil.
