Hey All,

I have a beautiful Artinger semi-hollow guitar that I am totally in love
with - but I want to change the pick-ups. It has Duncan P90 pick-ups, and
aside from the hum, I'm looking for a fatter tone. I have considered
butting humbuckers in it, but the size difference would cause cosmetic
damage. Mt question is - do the P100 pick-ups sound like humbuckers, or
are they sonically closer to P90's?

I'd really appreciate the advice!
Lou

P-100s are lower gain and thinner sounding than P-90s, but they are humbucking.
Okay if you like to play clean, not so good if you like that fat overdriven
sound at higher volumes. For that, try the Dimarzio humbucking version of the
P-90. Not sure of the name of it (it has twin rows of polepieces), but I
played a guitar with a set and thought it was much closer to a traditional P-90
sound, without the hum.
