I am glad you dig some of the stuff!
Currently I am in a situation that allows me to follow my two passions in a
zen-like way everyday. Those are programming(about 10-12 hrs a day-my job)
and music(4-6 hrs). I record music almost everyday. Everyday there are
other musicians here playing and recording. About 98% of the music that
happens here is improvised. Our music room is set up with 2 baby grands,
sitar, guitars, amps, tabla, udu, drumset, mac g4/pro-tools, etc... and we
take advantage of this constantly.
From these sessions I am starting to pull some of the magic into mp3's and
put it on the site. This process has just begun. The newest stuff will be
on www.mp3.com/paino . The old stuff is on www.mp3.com/mbq and there are
some electronic pieces on www.mp3.com/mbsfp . If you dig it, feel free to
take it!
If you would like I will keep you updated, just let me know.
My background is this: School of performing arts for high-school (practiced
and composed non-stop), hung out at UM for a while and looked over the
shoulders of some really good players(did not attend offically), went to
The Grove School of music for a bit, came back home and pulled a group
together to work on my concepts and compositions. I wont go into anymore
detail than that, I don't want to bore everyone else...
Oh, yeah, how did you find my stuff and which stuff was it that you heard?
Thanks again!
