How could Glen Miller have possibly gotten away with such a blatent
plagiarism?

I was listening to a new album today with a recording of Tar Paper
Stomp (Wingy Manone), I was taken a-back as I read the album notes
looking for the track title of In The Mood, only to find that the
track I was hearing was Tar Paper Stomp.

Thanks Danny. Interesting to learn that the earliest surviving
recording of computer generated music contains a rendition of 'In The
Mood/Tar Paper Stomp':

I was also surprised to find that the first computer-generated music
was actually made here in Sydney. However, it only survives in
reproduced form. The computer itself (CSIRAC) was moved from Sydney
soon after and is now housed in the Melbourne Museum:
