There are a lot of guitars marketed as "Aria" in the U.S. I'm most
familiar with their classicals--the better ones are made in Spain and
are generally considered a good value; the cheaper models were Japanese,
maybe the same factory. By now they're probably all made by Samick in
Korea (idle speculation).

It looks like the best I've ever seen except for maybe the old Ibanez
copies. You still would have to hold it and look it over as photographs can
be deceptive. Often you will notice more about the finish and the overall
quality than appears in them. The wood would be the next consideration, I
wonder if it is a laminate, what the neck is made out of etc. Sometimes on
the lower priced axes the wood can be very thick. The pickups and hardware
would be the next thing to check and then finally the overall sound which is
what it is all about anyway. It's definitely interesting though.

I am the new owner of this guitar. It is in very good condition
thinking of the year which it was made ( probably half way in the
seventies) The body is made of laminated maple and the neck is made of
3 pieces of mahogany. Sound is cristal clear with a deep bass, perfect
for jazz. I think this is a very good copy of the original Gibson
ES-175.

Give us a video of the new box, Dick.
