I've been wondering about that too. It might be that the XL allows
switching between the two channels via foot switch. Not sure though.

hmmm..i have the X...didnt know there was an xL...love this amp. It
can do a LOT of stuff and the jazz tone really works. I tried it with
Weber 12150, Weber 15150, also the Jensen itialian 15 and Eminence
RWB, Cannibus Rex and others. I found the stock speaker (some eminence
of sort) sounds as good as any of them and i have no need to change
it.

Great vol..but is a bit heavy for a geezer like me.
The looper is handy for practice, even though i have other loopers
around..its nice to have it built in. All o fthe cubes work with the
footswitch, so I dont think thats the 'L".
Great sounding amp and its keeping me from buying a Henriksen which i
am trying to justify...but this thing does what i need.

DARN..looks like the diff is the LOOPER...and "L" stands for
"LONG'...thats 80 seconds long compared to my 80x whihc is about 40
seconds. 40 seconds is not enough to play an entire chorus of changes..
80 sec is the bomb...Id get one if i didnt have other loopers.
Thats the only diff i see.

XL has a longer looper built in (80 secs vs. 40 secs?) 2 saved presets
(1 clean, 1 lead channel) and I think it has a power attenuation
switch?

I have the Cube30 and the Cube80X. I tried the cube 40XL and did not
like it, but I suspect that unit might have been a dude, it had some
wicked white noise issues.

The Cube 80X sounds quite good for the price. I only paid $250 for it
and have definately gotten my money's worth.

Does anyone know if they still have the appalling plastic jack inputs
that the Cube 60 had?
