rent a guitar/amp near Berlin?

I'll be near Berlin in a week (Potsdam) and I've been asked to play at
at event: do any of our German participants know where I could rent a
decent guitar/amp? (eg a tele with reasonable action and reasonable
string gauges). I'm nervous about walking into a german equivalent of
Guitar Center and dealing with R&R types.

Paul I would try the American Guitar Shop which had an excellent selection of archtops as well as the usual rock axes and knowledgeable staff when I was last there (7 years back). http://www.guitar-shop.de/
