I guess you can still buy Vestax D' Angeleico guitars but only in
Japan.
Check out the link above!
Interesting. I just compared their 335 type to my $800 Korean EXDC.
Not at all the same guitar. For one thing, the Japanese one has a 25.5
scale. Headstock is bigger. Hardware is fancier.
Price converts to $4300.
I remember those were nice. Didn't Rosenwinkel use one?
Price converts to $4300.

The guitars are made in Japan by the same company that makes the D'Aquisto
and Gretsch copies that Walkin sells.

isn't that aria who makes the sadowsky stuff?
The Terada factory in Japan is the "ghost builder" of most, if not
all, of the high end imported
stuff..........Ibanez,Gretsch,D'Aquisto,D'angelico,Sadowsky,Epiphone
Elitist etc....
Vestax is just a distributor, not a factory.
Samick or Peerless in Korea for the rest.
I wonder whether Vestax are making the new "Mairants" range for the Ivor
Mairants guitar shop in London's West End.
They look very similar to the D'Angelicos that were coming in a few years
ago. Can't find mention of them on the Ivor Mairants Musicentre website as
yet, but they are advertised in the latest edition of "Guitar Buyer".
