Peter White
Norman Brown
Larry Carlton
Larry Coryell
Lee Ritenour
and so on...
I'd like to use these for backing tracks to practice over, and occasionally
to check my transcription work.
Anybody know where I can get such things?
Thanks in advance!

Why not just use the records? The feel of midi tracks will be
infinitely worse.

As far playing a note for note transcription you'll find out fast how much you
really know it if you're your playing to a track that doesn't have the original
instrument on there to "guide" you along............IMO of course.
Thanks for reading!

>JMO....but with the actual record, it's almost like playing with the musicians.

I think perhaps David was thinking that in "Smooth" jazz (see subject
header) that difference might not be as detectable. It occurred to me
too that this might be a crucial flaw in my premise. :)

I was, but seeing as I'm still recovering from a recent flogging by
Rod Stewart fans on another thread for my opinions on pop, I will go
easy on smooth jazz for awhile.
