Does anyone have a link to this article? Its Ebony magazine Feb 1951. I have the Parker interview where he describes it as 'Just Poor'...but never could find the referenced article on the web.
Anyone have the text of what Calloway actually wrote?

Have you checked their online archive, or called their main office.

I can find plenty of pictures of the 1951 magazine cover.

Can't find any copies of the text, though. The article is
actually called "Is dope killing our musicians?" Searching
"Cab Calloway" on the Ebony site returns ZERO hits.

Go figure.
