Wow, you've got that really well, and you sound very comfortable, great stuff!
Did you also transcribe it or did you finda chart.

Really nice in any case.

Andy Hulme is playing not me, he's a top Jazz Guitarist, he deserves more recognition for his excellent playing ability.

Enjoy

I'm not a big JS fan, but I love the sound recording on that clip. That's how an acoustic archtop should sound. Is that one of the old lawsuit models from the 70s?

Beautiful job. He made those damn stretches look easy!
Other cats may play wild subs, but JS' can say more musically with just good taste, contrary motion and effective counterpoint. His concept of solo guitar arr. is winning over some classical guitarists, although one top player responded, "I can do it better", when a friend of mine played JS' recording of "Maid w/the Flaxen Brasier" for him. ; - )
With that video, it should be easy to transcribe "I'm (an) Old Faggot" now. ; - ) But playing it as well as JS or AH is a whole 'nother thing. There are a few other guys who play JS solos on youtube, and their playing lacks the time, technique and sound that JS had.
While AH's sound is fine, JS himself admitted that he "cheated" in the studio to get the fat sound that he got out of his D'Angelico. He plugged directly into the board, but he also went through some type of gizmo, also.

Very nice playing. The arrangement has a spanish, classical vibe to
it.

I have the transcription of that Johnny Smith version of I'm Old Fashioned in my personal collection. A large part of Johnny Smith's beautiful, fat sound is a combination of him using his Gibson Johnny Smith model with the suspended pick up and his Ampeg Fountain Of Sound amplifier. That particular tube amp laid on its' back suspended above the floor on short legs so that the sound shot straight up in the air like a fountain! Couple that unique combination with a musical genius who has perfect pitch and perfect technique and you have Johnny Smith - the John Williams of the pickstyle jazz guitar!
