In the meantime, it's a beautiful guitar. Sunburst with a single neck
humbucker just like (I think) jazz guitars should be. The workmanship and
finish are outstanding and the set-up is very close to ideal, though I'll
probably mess around with minor adjustments and strings. The size is just
right for me, too. It's a little thinner than my 175, and L-5 size guitars are
just too big for me.

Yes, it's a beautiful instrument.
I used to have one and enjoyed it very much. Size was right,
workmanship very good.
One thing though - I found it to be very susceptible to feedback; much more
than my other archtop also with floating pup.

Yeah, I can see that coming. I have just played it at home, not that loud, and
even with a lot of anti-feedback filter dialed in it has started to feed a few
times. Is "Doug's Plugs" still around? I have put tape over the f-holes of
other guitars, but not this one.

Just curious, what's your source of information? The AEX1500 is
presented on the Yamaha website and it's on offer by Music123 and
Musicians' Friend.
