That's all right Kurt. I've been intentionally Not watching the news
programs, and it might have been days before I would have known.
I had Ray's stuff early on, from when he was doing his take on Charles Brown
early on, to the great Atlantic stuff... that live, "Night Time (is the
right time)" absolutely killer, Nappy's a close second, to the Modern Sounds
in C/W... Liked his busted better than Johnny's.
I just said a prayer for him.
He is really something else.

I remember Ray Charles when I was teeny-tiny and honestly thought him
closer to 100 than 70. Sorry to hear of his passing as he brought blues
into my household early on. He will be missed. Funny, just last week I was
thinking of trying to get my new project to consider doing Hit the Road
Jack - Ray's version.
