I was thinking about picking one of these up. If anyone has one or tryed one
please let me know what yall think. I am not a 'jazz" player in the
traditional sense. I am looking for a nice warm smooth tone on my high notes
but also a kinda of brightness (non midrangy) sound on lower registers and
chords. I am looking for that nice balance. Also I do runing quite a bit of
effects pedals in my rig not to mention the new GR-20. Does anyone know if I
can even fit a gk-3 pick up on a semi hollowbody?
Thanks Yall!!!!!!

ditto for an AS 200 - piece o' cake.

I have had a Verythin Classic for a few months now. Frankly, when I
first got it I didn't like much about it. Now, it's become one of my
favorite guitars ever. And that's a little disappointing because in a
few months I have a custom order from Hamer coming. My plan was to
sell the Hofner to help pay for it. Now I'm not so sure I want to do
that.
I have never had a guitar that has grown on me like this. I love the
neck and action(had it plekked), the comfort of it (very light), and
the warm jazz tone I get out of it. It's a very sweet sounding guitar
with warm tones anywhere on the neck.
The biggest compliment I can give it is that after a few days I was
ready to sell it (actually had it on Ebay), and now I'm not sure I can
part with it.
Perhaps Jack will comment. He's much more analytical than I and knows
this guitar inside and out.
Good luck.

Jack, maybe you should put in your sig that you're a Hofner endorser.

The GK3, can, indeed, fit on a semi-hollow. The problem is that if your
guitar has a trapeze type tailpiece and it's an archtop, you will have to
screwn the pickup into the body. The double sided tape doesn't hold for
long and will ruin the finish. I guess you could use some kidn of putty,
but everytime you plug or unplug the cable, the pickup moves around. if
your achtop doesn't have a trapeze tailiece, you may be able to use the
Les Paul adapter to secure the pickup to the body without screwing in the
module.
