www.markkleinhaut.com has at long last been updated. The old site was
done in flash around 10 years ago and was way obsolete. I'm hoping a
few of you will check it out and post here if there are any
difficulties or issues with it functioning.

I'm sorry I've not been much of a contributor here in the last year.
Relocation was bumpy but that's all done now and we're finally getting
settled in... even have a few gigs coming up soon and a new album on
the way.

best,

Mark

Hi Mark,

I tried to get to your new site, here is what comes up:

404. That’s an error.
The requested URL /www.markkleinhaut.com was not found on this server.
That’s all we know.

John, thanks for trying. That error has something to do with how
google links out to other sites. When you do that you can see in the
nav bar the following address, which then tries to find the site as a
google subdirectory: http://www.google.com/www.markkleinhaut.com

Anyway, if you cut out the google part or cut and paste my site into a
nav bar it should get around the googlism. I guess I could just
change my signature::))

Hey Mark,

The new site looks really good, and it's nice to see you're recording
and have some upcoming gigs. Good news all around.

Be sure to let us know when the new album is available. Can't wait to
hear what you've been up to.

Nice site.

I cringe when I see pictures of guys holding their nice guitars with the
neck resting on their shoulder, though.

Thanks for checking it out. Reports of problems or difficulties are
especially important for a new site. Can you elaborate? The audio is
supposed to be very simple. What type of system/browser are you using
and what did you try? The audio can be started either by clicking the
play button in the upper right corner of any page or by clicking on an
MP3 soundclip (eg from the Albums page). The initial version of the
site had the music start automatically, but the current trends
disfavor this as most visitors don't want to get hit with unexpected
audio if they're at work, late at night or maybe already listening to
something else in the background. Thanks.

i think it must be a snag on my end (tried again and still no sound)
as no one else mentioned it. I use Google chrome and i tried both the
samples and the ones that just appear....i'll ask my wife, the
computer boss. Btw, i think the way you're doing it---with a visitor
click to activate the sample or cut---is the way to go
