Three weeks old, purchased new but built in 1999. Obviously mint condition.
It is #3054. This guitar is among the most splendid sounding Martins I have
ever heard. My only reason for selling is this: one week after buying the
instrument, I saw, on rec.music.guitar.acoustic a used Santa Cruz Model H,
in sunburst and slotted headstock, which I fell in love with. It was in my
price range and I bought it. The deal with my wife was this: the Martin will
go. Oh... parting is such sweet sorrow. Especially with this guitar. The top
has some of the most brilliant patina I have ever seen (you can see it in
the picture!). It produces, with the rw body, a deep dark bass tones with
sweet sustaining trebles. I have not yet turned in the warranty papers to
Martin and the dealer filled out their part. It comes with the orig. Geib
case (dark green plush interior) and it has an incredible set up: very low
action with absolutely no buzzing anywhere. The guitar is set up with 12s
but they play like 10s or lls! I am a very honest person: all will vouch for
me, and I'll give references. If I had not bought the Model H, this guitar
would still be mine.
