I have had a Fender Princeton Chorus for several years and love it. Although
certainly not as powerful as the Ultimate, I would guess that the sound is
similar. As stated above, the sound of the chorus is wonderful. I don't use
the effect all that often, but it is the best I have ever heard. Since it is a
true stereo chorus sound, that probably is part of the reason. I haven't
played through a lot of different amps in the past year or so (I don't want to
fall in love with anything else), but I didn't find anything close to this
small size and price that had a sound I liked back then. I also have a Hughes
and Kettner class A tube amp that I do prefer, slightly, for the traditional
warm jazz sound. However, for most everything else the Fender is my choice.

Thanks to all who replied. The consensus indicates that this is a good sounding
amp, though underpowered without mic'ing for multi-piece band gigs.
Like a couple of others here, I love Fender's chorus. The one on my
Acoustasonic JR was great. If the Ultimate Chrous can match or exceed that,
I'll be happy, though I only use a touch of it to dimensionalize the sound.
