Hong Kong is an interesting place, high rises connected via shopping malls
with a harbor view! What a place. Some time I'd like to get back there but
for vacation instead of work.
The highlights for me was hanging with Skip and jamming on his guitars, a
welcomed relief after a week of trouble shooting computer stuff. Skip's
great to play with, a cool guy, and has his own production company. (It's
always fascinating to see people in different lines of work.) I stopped by
his gig that night and got to hear him with piano, bass, and drums. He's
got a setup that gets a great sound in a tough room. I sat in on several
numbers and had a great time with the bass and drums. After focusing on
work so much I'd almost forgotten how much fun playing music is.
Should anyone make it over to Hong Kong be sure to give Skip a call. If
Skip or Karissa sees this, thanks for making my visit so enjoyable.
