I had asked them, about a month before,
when the new editions were coming out.
They said February.
I received my new BB Condensed today... and it's nice.
First thing I looked up was look up a Tacoma I just bought,
that wasn't mentioned in my '7th' edition.
The pricing for that guitar is in the new book.
In this condensed edition, they cut way back on guitar features and descriptions...
but it's got a lot of pricing info, for acoustic and electric guitars... and amps.
A good book to complement it, would be;
' Gruhn's Guide to Vintage Guitars ' ,
by Gruhn and Walter Carter.
That book has lots of info... but no pricing.
The new BB Condensed is about the size of the 'Vintage Guitar' Price Guide, now.
385 pages.
The 'Electric Blue Book' alone, is over 900 pages.
The site is offering free shipping, until October 31st.
The price is $19.99

Ebay is the only way and best way to value a guitar now. And I like it.

Only way?
Knowledge is power.
Ebay is a good barometer, with loads of variables...
Different reference books help to narrow down certain guitars.
Learning about different features that different models had,
enables you to recognize a cherry when it appears.
Some rare and beautiful guitars don't have much of an eBay history.
Research through the Blue Books, the Vintage Guitar Price Guide, Gruhn's Guide
and others, educate you about guitars.
Combine searching the web, searching Google groups...
... and you're better armed to start throwing big dollars around.
Information from these books has given me the knowledge to snap up treasures,
that paid for all my books.

Yeah.
It might not even be a guitar that you particularily like...
but after you sell it, then you can buy yourself any $1000 guitar
that turns you on.
It's also always easier and more fun to study a subject
that you're passionate about.
I think a lot of us feel that way about guitars?
