Pat,
I really enjoyed your playing on the latin stuff you posted on your
website, it would be nice to hear you really stretch out sometime. The
Tele' sounds great. I just purchased a used, Fender '51 (relic)
Nocaster and I really dig it a lot! All my archtops just sit in the
closet. Who says you can't play bebop (or anything else) on a
solidbody?!
Thanks to you (and all the other posters) for the tip on Harmonic
Design pickups, I just ordered a pair of vintage+'s for my Nocaster.
Please let me know how you like your neck pup when you get it.
BTW, I just purchased an all tube amp made in Baltimore MD. called a
"Tone King". I got the Comet 20 combo, 20w all class "A". It's by far,
the best sounding amp I've ever heard, not too expensive, and light &
easy to carry. Check one out, it'll really make a Tele sing. Plenty of
headroom, too. No, I don't work for them or endorse them, I just think
they're really good amps.
Thanks Pat, I always enjoy your posts. Larry Camp
