Hello all,
Here is another update. Anyone trying to call my cell, I forgot it at home. I wa sup all night and left this morning for work a bit "out there." I also forgot my damn wallet

Anyway, here is more accurate info:

Cecil County Sheriff's Office Corp. Mike Holmes said Richard Robert Raezer, 69, was found dead yesterday from apparent stab wounds. Originally, I said he was shot, but that does not appear to be true. His son, Robert Charles Raezer, 38, has been charged with second-degree murder and first degree assault.

I have to say I am some what disappointed in how the sheriff's office is handling this. For one, they don't even have a basic press release on this murder yet. The local paper, the Cecil Whig, does not have one thing about this. Folks, I am a journalist and to me this is just unacceptable. If I were you, I'd call the Cecil Whig and demand they report SOMETHING on this. It's sad. It's tough for me 100 miles away...

I do not have any service or memorial service information yet. I am hoping Jimmy Bruno can get that information for us, as I believe he drove down to Rich's home either today or last night.

Anyway, I need to get to work for a little bit and I will be able to be reached later tonight on my cell phone---703-728-0514

Peace to all

I should have funeral info later today. As soon as I find out funeral
arragements etc. I will post the info.
I cannot tell you all how much I will miss him. He was an integral
part of my family. He spent every holiday, birthdays, graduations, etc
with us for the past 20 years. He was my 1 st fan even before my 1st
CD.
I was his cabinet guinea pig in the beginning.
I think I'll stop for now

I am so sad about Rich. I got to know him this past year through Jimmy
Bruno. He was like family to Jimmy. He bought one of the first three Jimmy
Bruno prototypes and would email me every week to tell me how great the
guitar and my strings were. I just can't wrap my brain around how this
went down.

I first read about this tragic event very early this morning. It is
very hard to believe. We have supported Rich for many years and I
found him to be wonderful to deal with both personally and
professionally. I feel very sad and can't understand how such a thing
can happen!

We will all miss him very much !!!

Is this the son that helped him build the cabinets?
The one pictured here?

I recieved the tragic news from Jeff Lange early today. Jeff had
referred Rich to me to do some custom work. After only several phone
calls our conversations were not just about the project we were working
on. We would then speak often, spending 5 to 10 mins discussing our
project and another 45 just in friendly conversation. Rich would ask
about the new guitars I am making and my two children. I would ask how
he was feeling, due to the back surgery. We would talk about our shops.
We both worked mainly by ourselves and shared many feels about that.
I am not one for posting , but I feel I had to say a few words about
Rich. I am very thankful for all the clients and friends I have made
while working on guitars. While they are all wonderful people you come
across some that stand out as truly special. Rich was one of those
people. I am thankful to have known him and his friendship. My family
and I wish Rich's family our deepest condolences. I will miss Rich and
our conversation.

Yes, Bob Raezer. All my contact with Bob, I came away with the
impression that he was pretty laided back like his Dad. But you never
know.

This certainly is a strange and tragic case. Rich seemed like a
terrific guy. It's hard to believe anyone would want to hurt him.

I remember the above thread and not knowing what to make of it back
when it first surfaced.

Rich Raezer's passing is a terrible thing indeed. May he rest in peace.

I went to Rich's house to help his sister sort out a lot of things etc.
Very, very strange to be in the room where it happened. The autospy
has not been done yet. We found out that it should be done on Monday
or Tuesday. At that point I will let you know funeral arrangements
