I just got back from one of those Comcast Cable TV tapings. This time I was
with Atlanta saxophonist J.O. Wyatt. This will be broadcast on Tom
Carpenter's Jazz and Blues Show. If you are in the Atlanta area and are a
Comcast Cable subscriber check out the show if you get a chance, it's on
Channel 25 ( I'm not sure about the schedule). Between these, the ones I did
with my trio and the solo guitar ones that I've done there is a good chance
that I'll be on every once and a while.

Charlie,
Way to go. I still remember the previous production you were on from
community access cable. Hope the production turned out as well as the other
one I saw.

Unlike the other two that I played on I was a sideman on this one but if I
get a copy and it is alright with the leader I'll put it up somewhere,
thanks... Charlie

Tom Carpenter is the one in charge of production and his tapings are done
with a high level of professionalism. I'm hoping that this one will be no
exception. If it is possible I'll get one up somewhere and post it here.
Thanks....Charlie

This one was very traditional, we played standards, Duke Ellington tunes
etc. There were no charts but I've been getting a lot of calls from this
group over the past 4 months so we have all played together quite a bit.

Dom as Gerry noted this all yesterday's news. I did Comcast TV tapings from around 2000 up until this year (wow 13 years I didn't realize it was that long). I have since moved from Atlanta. Anyway the posting here was done in 2006. I have no idea why it suddenly appeared here again (one of those NG mysteries. Thanks for the congratulations though. One in this type of pursuit grabs onto
all of the encouragement offered :) Charlie

I've been in the Tampa Bay area for a couple of months now. I've played a few gigs and have done a demo session with a violinist since I've been here. I'm getting back into the laid back Florida thing again,it feels good! Charlie

I moved from Chicago to the Illinois boonies.
The music scene is big in Chicago but almost non-existant out here.
Occasionally a jazz group will pop up but they don't make it. no call for jazz.
I'm in a country band now and we do a few jazzy tunes but nobody notices.
Guess I'll stick with playing I, IV, V stuff.
Rednecks don't like ii, V's.

I've remedied working with unsatisfactory players by playing solo.
