A couple of things:
My particular instrument fed back extremely easily. I could not
control it with amp placement or notch filters or better right hand
technique. I eventually stuffed the body with upholstery foam. That
worked. The acoustic quality when from surprisingly good to quite
muffled, but I couldn't hear much difference when amplfied.
My instrument has a very trebly sound (before and after the foam).
It's so trebly that I play with treble and mids all the say down and
bass up. I have to turn the treble down on the amp too. Eventually, I
can roll off enough highs to get the bossa nova guitar sound I'm
looking for.
The guitar sounds good with every amp I've tried, provided I can roll
off enough treble. I'm not especially a Polytone fan, but I do recall
playing a show with one and getting really good tone that night. I've
also had good luck playing two amps, a JC55 and a Yamaha JX40. The
JC55 is too bright, the JX40 is too bassy and flabby, but together,
they seem to compensate for each other.
The Multiac I have is a limited edition with a chambered maple body, a
thin maple veneer on the back and a thick flamed maple top. For my
needs I doubt I'll ever be in a situation where I have to worry about
feedback. Thanks for posting your experiences with the Multiac played
through the amps you tried.
The Acoustic Image Corus is great with those guitars, but it sounds
like that's much more than you need. On the other hand, you can use it
for archtop, so if you're doing archtop gigs it could be a good kill-
two-birds-with-one-stone amp.
I have to say (but hate to say) I don't gig. (I did play Guitar IV in
the Philadelphia Classical Guitar Orchestra until last May.) I'm just
a forever amateur that went back to Classical Guitar lessons for 6
years but I had to stop May of 2009 because of tendonitis in my left
elbow. I'm starting back after almost a year to playing guitar but
doing Romero Lubambo's DVD. I've found that the "hybrid" nylon string
guitars are it for me - 1/7/8" nut width and radiused fingerboards. I
of hit a personal dead-end with the CG repertoire, not the technique.
I've been using a Roland AC-90 with my Godin Multiac ACS.

just add a tweeter box to any regular cab and you'll be covered with
your existing amp. Henrikksen sells one and several other makers do
too.
my teacher uses a
Fender Acoustasonic 30 DSP
for that kind of guitar and he is really happy with that setup.
