Betcha that'll put a little more emotion into their next performance of
"Fly Me to the Moon"!

Or how about "I'm Beginning to See the Light?" Isn't that the stereotyped
near-death experience, going towards a bright light at the end of a tunnel?

The report I saw on CNN did not mention Benson but they did show Bennett sitting down after the plane had landed. Tony
appeared a bit tired and haggard with a look of relief and a brave smile on his face..... joe

...and I hear Air France is offering a new express service - Gets you
from the airport to your hotel in two minutes.

You wanted tasteless joke, you got it:

When the plane was going down, George Benson saw his entire life flashing in
front of him.. two jazz albums, a hundred pop albums.

Real life is always better than tasteless humor.
Consider hard-hitting-but-perky-news-journalist Katie Couric' s question to the
manager of the demolished hotel:

"Did the plane appear to be flying lower than usual?"

jeeeeeeeeeeeeeeez!

Is this for real, or did you read it on the internet?

Ms. Couric has a history of silly and/or dim-witted comments in her
interviews. Years back, during an interview with a Haitian representative,
Couric kept referring to Haitians as "African Americans."

A friend of mine who went to high school with her in Arlington, VA told me she
was a cheerleader. I think that sums her up. Not too swift, but she sure is
perky.

O.K., time to wrap this one up.
Next time: Matt Lauer trying to be Mike Wallace!

Definitely not from the Edward R. Murrow old school of journalism. But
yes, very bubbly for 7:00 A.M. though; a morning lark.
