GR-30 vs AX-100 for fingerstyle playing

I'll soon be purchasing a guitar synthethizer to be controlled by a Godin
Multiac Classic. I will probably be mail ordering it since access to any of
those units is hard around here (the GR-30 in never turned-on at the stores,
and they don't carry the Axon AX-100).

Due to the particular differences in the way this units calculate notes; is
one of them better suited for fingerstyle playing than the other ?
An opinion from anybody with access to both units will be greatly
appreciated.

I've never tried the Axxon, but I have heard some people say that while it's no
slouch at tracking fingerstyle playing, pickstyle is it's forte.
