I don't have one (yet!), but it's new and I just saw it on Ralph's
site. http://novaxguitars.com/sales/slimline-jazz.html Pretty cool.

My main axe is his AX-6 (acoustic-electric), which I love; I wrote
Ralph about the new model and he said it's definitely more "acoustic"
sounding that the AX model. He said he'll put more pics up soon. His
work is impeccable, BTW.

There's a fan-fretted Halfling for sale on the Ribbecke site. It looks real
nice. There's a clip of Bruce Forman playing a different one on youtube, and
it doesn't look completely impossible.

that looks sweet. I love the compound scale instruments.

Hi David,
If you mean playing a fanned fret doesn't look impossible, you're
right -- they're very easy to get used to (maybe 5-10 minutes!).

If you mean playing like Bruce doesn't look impossible, then I
disagree! ;^)

Yes. My initial intuition was that it'd be quite discombobulating.

I wonder if he'd try this stuff on that fanned fret guitar :-)
Probably though, he's fearless.
