I don't know if there are any other sessions led by WN available, but this sounds great, with Mickey Fields on tenor:http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/walternamuthquintetfeatm

i studied with walt in the late '70s. He was a great player and quite the character. Is he still around? I asked my dad who lives in dc but he hadn't heard from walt in a while.

Sadly, Walt passed one or two years ago. Haven't got the CD yet, I'll talk about it here when I do.

Didn't know he passed. He was a fabulous player. When he left Buddy Rich's band, buddy went through a bunch of players thinking that none of them could read but it turns out Walt was adding all kinds of musical stuff to the charts that wasn't written and nobody else could cop the feel.
