Reg Schwager just told me how much he likes his new Roland Cube 30, with
the amp modeling. He says he uses the BlackFace model for jazz.

I've not tried the FM212, but only because there's a certain level of
Fender SS amp i don't go below. The FM212 sold for $299 since they came
out, though a recent prie increase has pruched thme to $349.
As for other Fender SS amps abve that price range - Cyber champ,
Ultimate chrous, others - I've not been imprressed.
The one hopeful I had heard excellent things about for jazz and othr
genres was the Fender Stage 1600, but when mine arrived in such bad
shape that I couldn't get it to play loud enough to use, I threw in the
towel on newer Fender SS amps.
Instead, I've got a PV Transtube 212 eFX comig in next week. It was on
clearance for $399 onlie (they're gone now) and sell for $499-549
everywhere else. They're made in the US, unlike the Fender FM series,
which I believe is chinese-made, not Korean.
We'll see if the hype aurrounding the PV is as owrthy.

My RE NY-8 has no shortage of low end, either. It's a very warm-sounding
cabinet. I find myself rolling off bass in a lot of rooms.
