Anyone here use a Roland Cube 30 amp? What are the best settings for
playing standard jazz chord melodies? Thanks.

I like the JC setting on all of them in that series. I like a little
brighter tone for CM. The blackface setting is a good one for
ensemble, but everyone hears things a bit differently.

If you Google this group you'll find a number of people who like and
use this amp (and the big brother Cube 60). I use a 30 on solo gigs
and set it on Blackface with my archtop and JC for my Godin nylon
string. Sometimes I forget to switch back to the Blackface setting
when I change to the archtop and get a fine tone with that too. I
just like the bit of tube-iness of the Blackface sound with the
archtop.

Not sure i understand the question...Do u have this amp? If u have the
amp...just plug in and turn the dials till u hear something u
like...am i missing something here?
If u dont have one of these great cube 30s...then why would u ask
this?
Am i the only one finding this to be a strange post?

Tweed, with treble rolled off to about 2/3 ans the tiniest touch of
reverb.

Does not seem strange to me. It seems like many other "seeking
advice" type posts.

Either the Blackface or JC channel. Depending on which of those two I
generally I like the mids up (12:00), bass down (9:00) and treble
between (10-11:00). Most seem to prefer the Blackface channel, but I
go back and forth...at the moment I prefer the JC channel and its
clarity.

Same here:
Blakface model
Bass 9 o'clok
Mid 12:00
Treble 11:00
Gain: 10:00
Volume as needed
a hair of reverb

With this setting you can also switch to the JC model to have a tone
with less presence and mids. The JC model tone gets lost quicker on
stage though: the blackface model is definitly where the cube 30
shines compared to many other amps.

Start with the amp flat and then make the tone adjustments on the
guitar, I have found the I very sledom have to touch the amp controls
at all

I like JC channel with bass around 10'oclock, mids around 2'oclock,
treble rolled off below 12'oclock depending on the guitar.
