I was listening to Allan Holdsworth's "Velvet Darkness" album, and
there are a couple of really nice tracks where Allan plays acoustic
guitar. Its interesting to hear the lines he plays with a lower
sustain/acoustic timbre. Do you know of other albums where he plays
acoustic?

Thanks

He plays it on an album with Gordon Beck. And I think there is a
bootleg recently released with John Stevens in which he plays a 12
string. He has very strong hands and can play all his crazy lines on
acoustic.

Here's an example:

There's a Danny Thompson recording on which Holdsworth plays an acoustic
12 string on one cut.

The first album by UK (Holdsworth, Jobson, Wetton, Bruford) has one
track with a great acoustic intro.
